Great food and great staff! The restaurant sits in a small supermarket. The food tastes fresh and flavorful. The staff are super friendly and checked in to make sure we enjoyed our food. The place was pretty quiet on a weekday. We got the vegetarian combo and the chicken/beef combo. Both were delicious! We also got the beet salad, it was our first time trying it and it was pretty interesting. Would recommend!
It's a small place with half dedicated as a store. So when I went it was empty so the service might be better. The waiter was friendly and checked on us. We got the meat combination and vegetables combination. Everything was good but my favorite was the lentils. The Ethiopian tea was very flavorful.

I have eaten from Gulele's terrific menu twice so far. The first time I went vegetarian, and the second I had a beef dish, Alicha Wot. Both were excellent The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They recently expanded their seating and tables for dining in I will be back to enjoy again!
OMG this is some really good Ethiopian food!!! We just found this place and are delighted. The Awaze Tibs are the best we've ever had. It's carryout only and it's part of an Ethiopian dry goods market, so it's not what you would expect. Don't let that deter you because this place is a find! Not only that, it's the only nearby Ethiopian restaurant that is open on Mondays. The woman behind the counter was a delight. I will definitely be back!

Wow I was blown away by this place! Their Ethiopian food is the real deal. I used to live in Ethiopia and this is on par with some of the best you would get back in Ethiopia. What a nice surprise for a little market in Gaithersburg.
Great carryout Ethiopian food in Gaithersburg! Better than most of the Ethiopian restaurants in silver Spring, equal to the good ones off 18th street and Adams Morgan. We ordered the sampler platters for the entrees and the vegetable platter for the side dish. The beef in the tibs was tender, the chicken and beef in the wats the same. The vegetables in the sampler were outstanding, cooked perfectly. The injera, soft and heavenly! Since discovering this little place we don't have to travel anymore for good Ethiopian food. This is a small place, a market that offers Ethiopian staples and cooked to order. There are a few tables you can eat in if you want. I ordered online and door dash let me know it was ready. The staff is very friendly too. As always, will be back again soon!
